An osteopathic manual practitioner is trained in four core hands-on techniques: osteo-articular manipulation, fascial release, cranial-sacral therapy, and visceral manipulation.
While osteo-articular manipulation and fascial release are widely recognized techniques often used in physiotherapy and chiropractic care, visceral manipulation is a gentler method that focuses on the body’s internal organs. This approach addresses imbalances in the position, suspension, and connective tissues of the organs, which can affect posture, musculoskeletal health, and key systems such as the nervous, vascular, respiratory, and digestive systems.
Leanne combines these osteopathic techniques with movement-based strategies to facilitate change. By integrating manual therapy with corrective exercise, she adopts an active care approach designed to promote long-term recovery and improved function.
