Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a medicine that draws on the experience of several millennia of implementing modalities such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, and various alternative methods. It recognizes the person as a ‘complete whole’. A dynamic creature who’s energy is always in motion. TCM does not only focus on symptoms, but seeks to find the root of the issue and then works to pull the person’s equilibrium back into balance. Balance = Healthy, and Vibrant.

Craniosacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more.

RAPID Neurofascial Reset

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (NFR), is a neurologically based, active therapeutic technique that focuses on the central nervous system’s role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body. It provides quick and long lasting results that get to the root of the pain. Utilizing a biopsychosocial perspective RAPID addresses the body’s perception of threat and danger. By bringing the brain back into safety, most painful conditions and range of motion restrictions disappear. Chronic pain is typically caused by residual inflammation by-products that haven’t been flushed out in the process of healing. By applying RAPID techniques to the area we cause the body to flush them and restore normal tissue function. RAPID therapists use a combination of hands on palpation, examination and treatment. Hypersensitive areas are treated by combining precisely directed depth and with very specific patient movements.

Treatments are performed with clients fully clothed and without use of oil, so please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. Sessions may be uncomfortable or a bit intense and this occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function. However, treatments are also generally shorter - 45 minutes initial and 30 minutes or shorter for follow ups. 2-6 treatments are recommended for best results.

Some of the conditions that usually improve or resolve with RAPID NFR include headaches/migraines, back pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, shoulder pain, Frozen Shoulder, Sciatica, Plantar Fasciitis, knee problems, Tennis/Golfers elbow, Whiplash, TMJ issues, Bursitis, bunions and arthritic joints, neurological hypersensitivity.

Rise and Shine!

Rise and Shine is a weekly movement class that helps you move some energy and connect to your body and your community. Each week might look different but classes will combine gentle movement, fascial stretching, guided meditation and energetic clearing. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement. All props provided by studio.

Manual Osteopathy

(INSURANCE BILLING INFO AT BOTTOM) An osteopathic manual practitioner is trained in four core hands-on techniques: osteo-articular manipulation, fascial release, cranial-sacral therapy, and visceral manipulation. While osteo-articular manipulation and fascial release are widely recognized techniques often used in physiotherapy and chiropractic care, visceral manipulation is a gentler method that focuses on the body’s internal organs. This approach addresses imbalances in the position, suspension, and connective tissues of the organs, which can affect posture, musculoskeletal health, and key systems such as the nervous, vascular, respiratory, and digestive systems. Leanne combines these osteopathic techniques with movement-based strategies to facilitate change. By integrating manual therapy with corrective exercise, she adopts an active care approach designed to promote long-term recovery and improved function. Leanne’s holistic treatment plans are tailored to support lasting healing and overall wellness.

Insurance and Direct Billing: DIRECT BILLING FOR OSTEOPATHY IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Leanne is currently in the process of gaining direct billing capabilities for insurers under the Telus health umbrella, Medavie Blue Cross, Green Shield, and Sunlife.

A chiropractor is a primary care practitioner that uses several therapy techniques to get to the root cause of many types of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. The profession has extreme diversity with varying styles of practice, where Dr. Matt practices as a Rehabilitative Chiropractor.

Rehabilitative Chiropractors are unique, as they have many tools in their tool-belt, outside of exclusively using traditional adjustments. They have extensive training in cutting-edge manual therapies such as: Active Release Techniques (ART), sports massage, fascial stretching, joint mobilization/adjustments, instrument assisted therapies (Graston therapy, cupping, mobility belts & bands, clinical & athletic taping). Rather than focusing solely on spinal conditions, a Rehabilitative Chiropractor also often works with extremity conditions - ankles, knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, TMJ, etc.

A Rehabilitative Chiropractor also has extensive movement training & experience in the following areas of exercise instruction: pain recovery, postural & ergonomic, post surgical, mobility training, sports specific, nervous system training, and general strength & conditioning. The prime focus is to find the root cause of the ailment or symptom through a detailed physical examination that incorporates functional movement principles and orthopaedic knowledge. Once the source of the problem is identified, then the Chiropractor will educate the patient on the problem and illustrate a treatment plan that will incorporate both hands on therapies with a customized rehabilitation program.

The goal for these types of practitioners is to help find the problem, to fix it, and to prevent it from coming back again. Nutritional counselling & lifestyle coaching is also a prime focus and are often integrated in the program to address problems like: inflammation, pain management, sports specific goals, sleep, stress management, developing better routines, and general health optimization.
